Dear Trnio User,
Trnio allows users to render high-resolution 3D scans of friends, family, and themselves. Users can share their face-scans on Twitter and Facebook within the Trnio app. This week, we are offering users some tips on how to get great face-scans with Trnio. We will have a face-scanning contest stoon, so be sure to try these tips out!
Top 3 Things to Keep in Mind While Face-Scanning:
Ear to Ear: Scanning ear to ear is the best way to capture a great face-scan.
Distance: Try to keep the camera no further than a foot away from the face of the person being scanned. Keep the phone the same distance away from the person as you scan along to the other ear. Different distances can cause distortion in the scan.
Lighting: Our best scans occur outside on sunny and cloudy days. Bright and even lighting is optimal for getting a good scan.
The image below shows the locations where our application captured photos during a user's face-scan.
You might have noticed that scanning people's faces from ear to ear leaves out the back of the their heads. Because of this, we are currently developing our technology to allow our users to get full 360-degree hi-res captures of people's heads. Click on the model below to see an example of an amazing face-scan. Be sure to post your links on Facebook through the Trnio app with the hashtag: #TrnioFaceScan.
Scan of the Week 6/10
Trnio will be featuring the scan of the week in our newsletters. This week it's @egonbone's King Tut replica. Take some scans with Trnio and you might be featured in the next newsletter! Check out the scan of the week below:
Looking forward to seeing your face-scans!
